Kimbo Slice Vs. Matt Mitrione Set For UFC 113.
The hype matchup of the century between Kimbo Slice and former boxing champion James Toney isn’t happening any time soon. UFC has made official the match up between Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson and fellow TUF 10 fighter Matt Mitrione at UFC 113 which takes place from the Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on May 8.
Slice is coming off a deserved, albeit strange, victory over Houston Alexander(due to the ring rounding tactics of Alexander) and continues to be one of the MMA’s biggest draws. Slice’s cardio, however, seemed suspect after his last bout, and many are hoping to see noticable improvements in the former backyard brawler.
Mitrione is coming off a TUF 10 Finale victory over Marcus Jones in which he landed a second round knockout. Mitrione is a hard hitter, but there are serious questions about his cardio, ergo the matchup between the two.
UFC 113 will feature a main event match between current UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and number one contender Mauricio Rua. The MMA News will keep you up to date on all things related to UFC 113.
