Bobby Lashley, the 6′3″, 270 lbs former WWE wrestling champion seems to be leaning towards becoming an MMA fighter. Its being reported that he has been seen training in both San Jose and Colorado Springs specifically for MMA the last few weeks, though there is a chance he could still join Wrestling promotion TNA(once his 90 day non-compete clause expires). There would be considerable interest in Lashley, whose physical attributes look similiar to Brock Lesnar. Lashley is also a former amateur wrestling champion, and NAIA wrestling champion.

The MMA Newsline shows that wrestling promotion AAA in Mexico is expected to try to get Bill Goldberg and Lashley to work a tag team show, which would be of some interest, as Goldberg is somewhat of an insider with EliteXC. Lashley is represented by Zinkin Entertainment and SportsManagement, who also manage big MMA names Chuck Liddell, Forest Griffin, Mick Swick, and Jos Koshcheck.
