Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida Added To UFC 107

Making the announcement from his Twitter site, Kenny Florian (11-4) confirmed a lightweight bout between himself and Clay Guida (25-10) for UFC 107 on Dec. 12.
There had been talk from Florian that the match was to happen at UFC 106, but the recent cancellation of the headliner bout between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans left the UFC looking to stack the UFC 107 show. The organization recently added a lightweight title fight between BJ Penn and Diego Sanchez.
UFC 107 is scheduled to take place on Dec. 12 at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn.
Florian is coming off of a loss to Penn at UFC 101, where the champ managed to slip in a rear-naked-choke during the fourth round. Before that loss, Florian won six straight to earn the title shot. Florian has expressed his desire to climb back up the ladder to get another shot at Penn as soon as possible.
Guida’s last appearance was at the TUF 9 Finale, where he battled against Sanchez in a three round contest that had fans declarining it fight of the year. Guida lost the split decision to Sanchez ending a three fight win streak.
