Quick Qoute: Frank Trigg – Unfinished Business

Returning UFC fighter Frank Trigg (19-6) talked about making another run at a UFC championship.
Here is a few quotes from an interview on UFC.com.

“I got tired of going around in the minor leagues,” admitted Trigg, who has fought for seven different organizations since his last UFC fight in 2005. “I got tired of being in the bottom heap. So I talked to my eldest son, Frankie, and asked him what he thought about me going back to the UFC and putting that kinda stress on the family. He was all for it. He said ‘look, your athletic window’s closing, you don’t have much time left. Let’s go ahead and try to make a go of it. I talked to my wife and she said, ‘if you want to do this, you have to stop everything else. You have to stop doing Triggonomics, the radio show, and be nothing but a fighter.’ My younger kids, they were for it as well.”
“I want to get another run,” he said. “I’ve always kind of been a failure. Everything I’ve ever done, I’ve kinda failed. I’m with my third wife, so I’ve had two failed marriages. I had two title runs in the UFC and I failed at both attempts. I tried for two Olympic Games and I failed at both of those attempts. I tried to win the national title in junior college and in Division I, and failed at those attempts. If you look at everything, I’m more of a failure than I am a success. That’s kinda what drives me. Because I haven’t quite made the top end yet, I said ‘why don’t I give myself one more run?’ All the best guys on the entire planet, minus maybe one or two guys, are in the UFC’s welterweight division. If I’m gonna do this, let’s just do it. Let’s not screw around. I’m gonna quit riding on my mouth, and I’m gonna go ahead and see if I’m as good as I think I am and as good as I say I am. Let’s find out. I’m gonna put myself in the heat of the kitchen and find out if I’m any good.”
