Trevor Prangley Denies Contract Violation With MFC

mfc.jpg Light-heavyweight fighter Trevor Prangley has responded to his recent release by the Canadian “Maximum Fighting Championship” organizatoin by saying legally he did nothing wrong.

Prangley was released and stripped of his MFC light-heavyweight title for agreeing to fight with another oganization.

MFC Owner/President Mark Pavelich stated “The MFC won’t sit on the sidelines while its fighters, especially our champions, violate our contracts and fight in smaller shows. There is an exclusivity clause in the contracts for a reason.”

Prangley (21-5) claims that he informed the MFC of a previously existing contract and that he intended to fight for that organization.

“I really don’t have much to say about it other than we tried getting a fight date from MFC and also tried getting permission to fight,” Prangley told FanHouse. “This is my job, I have a family to feed and I got a fight assigned from a pre-existing contract so legally I did nothing wrong.”

His next fight will be in Texas with the Shark Fight promotion for its light heavyweight title.
