During a radio interview with The MMA Hour, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker was questioned about when fans could expect the return of popular female fighter Gina Carano.

“It’s pretty clear that we won’t see her until second quarter of next year, and probably late second quarter,” Coker said. “Probably towards the summertime. That’s when we’re expecting her back.”

After a loss to Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos for the first women’s Strikeforce title in August, Carano has been pretty quiet except for her recent photo shoot for ESPN. Currently she is set to begin filming the new Steven Soderbergh movie, Knockout, in early 2010.
