"I Want Fight Of The Year," Dan Hardy On His UFC 105 Bout Against Mike Swick

dan-hardy.jpg On November 14 Dan Hardy (22-6-0(1)) will face Mike “Quick” Swick in the octagon at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England as part of the main card for UFC 105.

Hardy, who is coming off-of a split decision victory over Marcus Davis at UFC 99, wants to make his fight against Swick not only “Fight of the Night” but he wants it to be “Fight of the Year.”

“I am 100 per cent confident in myself. I know how this fight is going to go. It is not myself that I am looking to prove anything to in this fight, it is everyone who says I cannot do it. I want to show them that they are wrong, and that I can back up what I say,” he told Fighters Only today.

“It’s going to be a fast-paced explosive fight between two young guys that are looking to take their career forward a step. I am going to be coming into the fight in great shape and I expect Swick will as well. He will want to put on a show for the fans as much as I do.”

As if there was any doubt about the kind of show he is looking to put on, he adds, “I am not just looking for fight of the night, I want fight of the year.”
