Strikeforce Signs DREAM Welterweight Champion Marius Žaromskis
DREAM’s first welterweight title holder, Marius Žaromskis (13-3) has signed a multi-fight deal with the Strikeforce organization.
Žaromskis is still expected to compete with the Japanese based DREAM organization as well as his new Strikeforce duties. Although no details of the contract were released, the ability for the Lithuanian to compete with both organizations is part of their commitment of working together by sharing fighters and co-promoting events.
Žaromskis earned the DREAM welterweight title in July at the orgainizations DREAM.10 event where he defeated Jason High at the Grand Prix 2009 Finals via KO with a head kick in the second round. Žaromskis has since defeated Korean Myeon Ho Bae by knockout also, KOing his opponent with a head kick in just 19 seconds of the first round. The bout was a non-title fight.
