UFC Heavyweight Todd Duffee Out With Injury, Withdraws From UFC 107 Match

todd-duffee.jpg UFC heavyweight fighter Todd Duffee (5-0) has withdrawn from his UFC 107 bout against Paul Buentello (24-10) due to an injury.

Sherdog.com talked to Duffee on Tuesday night, he told them them that “(Withdrawing) was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make.” The heavyweight did not disclose the nature of his injury or any details on when he might recover.

When talking about his opponent Buentello, Duffee explained that “It was a fight I was really looking forward to. We really matched up well.”

This would have been Duffee’s second bout under the UFC banner, winning his first fight in just seven seconds against Tim Hague at UFC 102. The KO victory was the fastest recorded knockout victory in the UFC.

No new opponent has been named for Buentello but Mike Russow and Stefan Struve have been suggested as possible replacements.
