"Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers" Weigh-in Results

fedor-vs-rogers.jpg The official weigh-ins for the “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers” event took place at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill. Both headliners Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers made weight while only one fighter from the preliminary card had trouble making his contracted weight.

The weigh-in event was open to the public on Friday night and took place on the main concourse of the Chicago-area venue.

Emelianenko weighed in at 232 pounds, while his opponent Rogers, weighed in at 264 pounds. A whopping difference of 28 pounds between fighters.

Another bout that sports a large weight discrepancy was between heavyweights Antonio “Big Foot Silva, who weighed 263 pounds, and Fabricio Werdum, who weighed in at 242 pounds. With Silva holding a 21 pound weight difference both fighters will square off in the first televised bout of the evening.

Preliminary card fighter Dustin Neace weighed in at 150.5 pounds and was given an hour to lose three-and-a-half pounds to meet a catchweight of 174 pounds. His opponent Jeff Curran weighed in at 145 pounds.
