Brandon Vera Wants To Leave Behind A Legacy

brandon_vera.jpg Filipino fighter Brandon “The Truth” Vera (11-3) is set to face one of his hero’s in Manchester, England in the main event of UFC 105. Vera will put it all on the line as he faces Randy Couture in his quest to win both the light-heavyweight and heavyweight titles.

Whether or not he is successful in his goals, Vera wants to be remembered as “one of the greatest of all time.”

“I want to leave behind a legacy that people can remember me by, like, ‘that motherfucker was one of the greatest of all time’. I want to become BJ Penn, GSP, Anderson Silva. I used to think I was on that level until recently, when I found out that I am not there yet.

“I just want to fight to the best of my abilities, whether I get the stoppage or not. That’s the fight, fighters are getting better day by day. I don’t plan the knockout or look for it, it just kind of happens. If fans are disappointed that I haven’t finished my last couple of fights – keep watching, it’ll come back.”
