UFC President Says Lesnar Out With Bacterial Infection

brocklesnar1.jpg UFC president Dana White talked with the Associated Press about the ‘mysterious’ illness that fell the heavyweight champion this past weekend.

White said Brock Lesnar is suffering from a bacterial infection of the intestinal tract and that “He’s in stable condition and should be released soon.”

White said he is encouraging Lesnar to check into the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., for further treatment. He also said he did not know if the 32-year-old South Dakota native will fight again.

“It depends on how serious this is,” White said.

The UFC president broke the initial news this past weekend at the post-fight press conference for UFC 105 saying that Lesnar collapsed during a trip to Canada and he would be flying out to see the champ.

“He is not well and he is not getting any better. . . . He’s very, very sick and he’s going to be out for a while. He’s got a lot of problems.”

“I’m actually probably going to fly to go see him, and we’re going to probably have to do some stuff to take care of this guy. He is not well, and he’s not getting any better.”

If this is a severe condition it is likely that he will need a colostomy which means intestine is disconnected and an external bag is used for elimination. That won’t work well in the octagon!
