Middleweight Strikeforce fighter Benji Radach (19-5) will not face Robbie Lawler at the “Strikeforce: Evolution” event as many had hoped.

Radach’s agent, Ken Pavia, told Sherdog.com that his fighter hasn’t been given medical clearance to even begin training since Radach had surgery to his right hand in April. He injured the hand against Scott Smith in April of this year, losing via KO in the third round.

The “Strikeforce: Evolution” event will be held on Dec. 19 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker told Sherdog.com that Lawler would still be competing on the card and an opponent would be announced in the next couple of days.
