Carlos Condit Injured, Replaced By Dustin Hazelett At UFC 108

Dustin_HazelettOn Wednesday, former WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit (24-5) has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 108 co-feature bout with British striker Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley due to an injury suffered while training.

Condit has since been replaced by Dustin Hazelett (12-4) who has made verbal agreements to fill in on the UFC 108 card.

“UFC 108: Evans vs. Silva” is scheduled to take place on Jan. 2nd at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. and will feature a main event bout between light-heavyweights Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva.

Hazelett has won two straight, including a 5-1 record in his past six bouts since joining the UFC. Four of those five victories came via submission including his last win where he defeated Tamdan McCory with a inverted armbar in Nov. of 2008.

Daley has gone 10-2, winning his past three bouts against Martin Kampmann, Junior Barata, and Aurelijus Kerpe. Nine of those victories have come via TKO or KO, with his two losses coming via unanimous decision to Nick Thompson and a submission loss to Jake Shields.

The updated UFC 108 card appears as follows:
