UFN 20 Card Officially Complete
The UFC has added completed it’s “UFN 20: Maynard vs. Diaz” card adding a welterweight and lightweight bout to the event.
A welterweight match between Brad Blackburn (17-9-1) and Amir Sadollah (2-1) has now been made official for the main card. As well as a preliminary bout between lightweights Nik Lentz (17-3-1) and Thiago Tavares (14-3).
UFC Fight Night 20 is set to take place Jan. 11 at the Patriot Center on George Mason University campus in Fairfax, VA. with the main card being broadcast live on Spike TV.
Blackburn has won his last six bouts, including one no-contest, and will look to continue with his winning streak against Sadollah. His three UFC victories have been over Edgar Garcia, Ryo Chonan, and James Giboo. He defeated Garcia at the TUF 9 Finale, earning a split decision victory.
Sadollah will return to the octagon after a short-layoff, under two months, since defeating Phil Baroni via unanimous decision at UFC 106 a few weeks ago on Nov. 21. The TUF 8 winner has had to face illness and injury since getting his first UFC win against C.B. Dollaway at the show’s finale.
Lentz has won seven straight matches, going 8-0-1 in his past nine. Lentz will look to follow up his UFC debut with another victory after earning a unanimous decision over Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 103.
Tavarez will look to put a two fight win streak together after going 1-2 in his past three, as well as 2-3 in his past five. He earned a unanimous decision victory at UFC 94 in January of this year against Manvel Gamburyan. His two losses previous to that were against Kurt Pellegrino and Matt Wiman.
