Update: UFC 107 Weigh-in Results

scale1Memphis, Tennessee was the site for today’s weight in events featuring a main event bout between UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn and challenger Diego Sanchez.

All 22 fighters made weight for the event, with five different fighters failing their first time on the scale but they all made it eventually.

The FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn., played host to today’s weigh-ins, it will also be the same venue as Saturday’s pay-per-view event.

Lightweight challenger Sanchez initially weighed in one pound over weight and had to strip down to make weight. The ‘Nightmare’ weighed in at 154.5 pounds while his opponent Penn weighed in at 155 pounds.

Update: The preliminary bout between Alan Belcher and Wilson Gouveia had been scheduled as a middleweight bout but was changed to a catchweight of 195 pounds. The change was made Friday afternoon and approved by the UFC.

MMAWeekly.com reports that a source said “Gouveia asked for a 190-pound catchweight limit, but Belcher gave a counter-offer of 195 pounds, stating he was already at 195 pounds and didn’t see the use in cutting extra weight.
