Kimbo Slice May Fight Rogers.
By now everybody knows EliteXC heavyweight Brett Rogers publically “dissed” Kimbo Slice at the EliteXC Primetime post-fight press conference, and most people know why. Rogers is looking for a chance to gain considerable publicity from the calculated move, and so far it’s worked. There’s not an interview that goes by with Kimbo Slice that doesn’t have him answering questions about whether the fight will happen. Recently Slice hinted that their could be a fight in October. Here’s the quote:
“Considering Brett Rogers is as ignorant as he is, he’s probably looking at it like Kimbo Slice can be a meal ticket. Instead of making the fight at more of a business tip, this is going to be personal. This shit is personal now. If he wants to call me out, considering he’s going to get big money to fight me, then you know, from a business point of view, whoever was in his ear, they did their part, and now they got the fight. Yeah, hell yeah, I got to fight him man. This man just called me out.”
Despite Slice saying the fight is on, it will come down to whether Gary Shaw is willing to make the matchup, or rather let the animosity build as Slice takes on James “The Colossus” Thompson. In any case it would seem that the matchup with Rogers would favor Slice’s style of stand up fighting, where as Rogers has the experience and size advantage.
