The “Dynamite!! Power of Courage 2009” event set for New Year’s Eve in Japan, has added another bout to it’s K-1 kickboxing/mma event. Added to the event is a match between Dutch fighter Melvin Manhoef (23-6-1) and “The Grabaka Hitman,” Kazuo Misaki (22-9-2), with both men meeting under mma rules.

The event features fighters from DREAM, World Victory Road and K-1, taking place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. HDNet will televise the event live starting on Thu, Dec 31 – 3:00 a.m.(ET) 1200 a.m. (PT).

Another bout in the works is a bout between Gegard Mousasi and Gary Goodridge. The matchup was posted by MMA fighter Jason High who Tweeted the news on Thursday night. Michael Kogan, Fighting and Entertainment Group’s American director, told MMAFighting.com on Friday that the bout is “close” to being finalized. The fight would take place under K-1 rules.

Twenty-two of Manhoef`s twenty-three victories have come via knock-out or TKO. He`s gone 1-2 in his past three bouts including losses to Paulo Filho and Gegard Mousasi. Manhoef defeated Mark Hunt at last years New Year`s Eve event, KOing Hunt in 0:18 of round 1.

Misaki looks to earn a second win after going 4-1 in his past five bouts, defeating Kazuhiro Nakamura at the Sengoku 9 event in August of this year in his last fight. The loss to Jorge Santiago, for the Sengoku middleweight championship, was a fight that Misaki was winning until he was choked unconscious in the fifth and final round.
