Current Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi will be making his professional boxing debut on January 9 at the Civic Auditorium in Glendale, California. His opponent has yet to be announced, but it should make for an interesting foray into the sport.

Mousasi must have some serious confidence as he’s scheduled to take on MMA journeyman Gary Goodridge at Dynamite!!2009(scheduled for the New Years). Most have Mousasi winning the mixed martial arts fight quickly, but one never knows.
