Pro Elite Giving Away Trip To Hawaii, Affliction Selling Tickets.
There’s a contest over at Pro Elite, the parent company of MMA promotion EliteXC, and it’s a good one. Sign up with Pro Elite(it’s free and you can use it to watch the undercard streamed fights for EliteXC’s live events) and you can enter the free contest to win a trip for two to Honolulu, Hawaii. It also includes two nights logdging, two tickets to an Elite XC MMA event, and $1000 cash. The MMA News isn’t affiliated with Pro Elite, but a chance to win a trip for free, see an MMA event, and get some cash is a good thing. Oh, and you don’t have to wait long because the winner will be announced on Tuesday, June 24th, with a deadline being June 20th, so you better hurry before the contest ends.
With just around a month until the first Affliction MMA:Banned card, word is circulating that Affliction has sold between 7,000 and 8,000 tickets. This is an excellent number for a company that has done little in the way of major marketing, and shows that die-hard MMA fans are interested in the heavyweight division, and Fedor Emelianenko. Affliction is looking good to get more gate than the EliteXC May 31st show which toped out around 8,033 tickets, and this is good news for the promotion that has already admitted it there is little chance in recouping their expenses for the first card. Affliction hopes to build on a impressive first card, and swing the pay-per-view and gate numbers into their favor in the long run.
