UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo would retain his title after an entertaining five-round fight with former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar. The two would meet in the main event of UFC 156 in Las Vegas, with Aldo landing the bigger strikes in the first couple of rounds before slowing down in the later rounds. That was when Edgar began turning things around scoring with punches and a couple of take downs. It wouldn’t be enough as the judges would score it for Aldo by unanimous decision.
