Matt Riddle admits to playing it safe in his win over John Maguire at UFC 154, and then pleads his case for a fight against Dan Hardy, with MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.

Riddle faced John Maguire on three weeks notice, after Riddle initially replaced injured welterweight Stephen Thompson against Besam Yousef. Yousef was then replaced by Maguire after coming down with an injury himself.
